This 1992 Porsche 968 coupe is finished in Amethyst Metallic and is said to be the sole example featuring a magenta and light gray interior with cloth upholstery from the factory. Power is supplied by a 3.0-liter VarioCam inline-four coupled with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes a black rear spoiler, a removable sunroof, and a factory stereo. The car spent time in Ohio, Texas, and Florida before being acquired in 2019 by the selling dealer. Service in February 2021 included replacement of the timing belt as well as a coolant flush and oil change. This 968 is offered in Washington State with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit and compressor, spare keys, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in Amethyst Metallic and features an optional black rear bridge spoiler, pop-up headlights, fog lights, and a power-operated removable sunroof. Clear protective film has been added to the front end and the side mirror caps according to the selling dealer. The 16″ wheels feature full-color Porsche crests and wear 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Pirelli P700 Z tires. The rear model emblem was omitted from the factory.
The car is reportedly the sole example produced with light gray cloth upholstery featuring Porsche logos and accented by magenta trim, carpeting, and floor mats. Amenities include power-adjustable seat height, cruise control, power windows, and a Porsche-branded cassette stereo.
The color-matched steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline, and a six-digit odometer showing 8k miles, approximately 30 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The 3.0-liter inline-four produced 236 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque when new. The timing belt was replaced in February 2021 , and an oil change and coolant flush were also carried out.
