39k-Mile 1997 Porsche 911 Targa 6-Speed - SOLD
The body is finished in Glacier White (3AU) and features a power-operated sliding glass roof as opposed to the removable panel found on earlier models along with an aero front lip and basket handle rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light. The car was optioned with the model designation deleted from the engine lid. The seller notes a crack in the glass of the sliding targa roof panel, and the front bumper cover was repainted under current ownership. Close-up photos of glass etchings and paint meter readings are viewable in the gallery below.
Cup Design 17″ wheels with body-color centers and Porsche-crest center caps are mounted with 205/50 front and 255/40 rear Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires showing date codes from 2020 and 2021. Stopping power is provided by four-piston black-finished brake calipers paired with cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The power steering rack was rebuilt and the rear toe links were replaced in February 2022.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats upholstered in Midnight Blue along with a matching dashboard, door panels, rear seats, and carpets protected by Porsche-branded floor mats. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, an onboard computer, and a Porsche CDR-210 stereo.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, a quartz analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 39k miles, approximately 600 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six features a VarioRam induction system and produced 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque when new. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. Recent service included replacement of the spark plugs, accessory drive belts, and lower valve cover gaskets.Â
